The Development Office at Laurentian University is under the umbrella of University Advancement, which includes Development (charitable gifts to the University), Alumni Relations and Public Affairs.
Development is about developing relationships with Laurentian’s alumni and friends, telling them about all the new and exciting initiatives at Laurentian and learning about their interests.
Our friends, alumni, and our development team are committed to the advancement of the university. In the past four years, Laurentian has launched several new programs, such as our faculty of Medicine, our first-ever PhDs and our Centre for Excellence in Mining Innovation. The campus is also buzzing with construction: a new residence, expanded athletic facilities, and new and enhanced academic space.
These are exciting times at Laurentian, and the development office is committed to organizing and generating financial support for these initiatives. Our donor circle includes alumni, individuals, corporations, foundations and friends.
Our office works in close cooperation with the Laurentian University Alumni Association, and all of the university's academic and administrative units, to raise funds for the priorities identified by senior academic and administrative leadership.
