R.R.O. 1990, REGULATION 459 DISPOSAL OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

Effective June 10, 2006, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) of the Province of Ontario applies to Laurentian University and other Ontario universities.

FIPPA addresses two principal issues:

• Access to information in the care and custody of the University (subject to certain exemptions)

• Protection of personal information collected by the University

À compter du 10 juin 2006, la Loi sur l'accès à l'information et la protection de la vie privée (LAIPVP) de la Province de l’Ontario s’applique à l’Université Laurentienne et aux autres universités de l’Ontario.

La LAIPVP traite surtout de deux questions :

• Accès à l’information dont l’établissement a le soin et la garde (sous réserve de quelques exceptions);

• Protection des renseignements personnels recueillie par l’Université.
